In an effort to place life-saving defibrillators in accessible locations for those in need across our Heartlands, we’re pleased to see our next defibrillator installed outside the Globe Eco Centre
We celebrated the commencement of this initiative when the first defibrillator was installed outside Aldi in Uttoxeter in October. Following the installation of a unit in Newcastle-under-Lyme, a further defibrillator has now been installed in Uttoxeter, at the Globe Eco Centre. This leaves the town better equipped to offer our local residents and visitors a critical resource in times of medical emergencies.
We believe that access to defibrillators can make a significant difference in emergency situations, potentially saving lives. Someone who shares this viewpoint is Katie Copeland-Rhodes, Managing Director of The Globe Group, who added:
“We’re so grateful to Leek Building Society for funding this defibrillator. It’s a vital piece of equipment that could save a life in an emergency. As it’s located opposite a busy car park, it gives us peace of mind that the defibrillator can be easily accessed in a medical emergency. As a community Eco Centre, we’re committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.”
The installation of this defibrillator is a testament to how we’re making a difference where it matters most. Our defibrillator programme will continue over the next four years until 100 units are in place across our Heartlands to offer critical care equipment to people in need.
